Scuderia Toro Rosso is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Aerodynamicist to work in our Aerodynamics department.

The role:

In this role reporting to the Aerodynamics Team Leader, you will be responsible for responsible for developing aerodynamic solutions for the race car. Working in one of our development teams, the role will involve all aspects of aerodynamic development including concept definition, testing and analysis of experimental and numerical simulations.


What you will do:

  • Working closely with the Team Leader to define the best development strategies; based on directions and performance targets;
  • Prepare, supervise and execute aerodynamic test and development programs, from concept formation to finished racecar design;
  • Extensive use of both CFD, wind tunnel and other tools to develop components, from initial idea to finished design;
  • Provide mentoring support to our Aerodynamicists and Junior Aerodynamicists;
  • Conduct wind tunnel testing and reporting of results

 

What you need:

  • A strong aerodynamic academic background of minimum degree level
  • At least 3 years’ experience of F1 Aerodynamic development
  • Proficient computer skills including CFD and 3D CAD software.
  • Definition, specification and management of effective wind tunnel tests
  • Creativity and innovation

Le tue responsabilità:

- effettuare in maniera completamente autonoma sia la laminazione che la finitura di ogni singolo componente prototipale

- assicurarsi che i materiali necessari per la lavorazione siano sempre disponibili

- assicurarsi che la qualità del pezzo finito raggiunga gli standard richiesti dalle procedure

- produrre, con il supporto del Tecnologo, una reportistica che evidenzi pro e contro delle nuove tecnologie utilizzate


Requisiti richiesti:

- Esperienza di almeno 6 anni nella laminazione e finitura di componenti di materiale composito in fibra di carbonio

- Conoscenza dei processi produttivi dei materiali compositi fibrorinforzati "pre-impregnati"
